People have to acquire certain characteristics in the formation of personality. When they are unable to achieve them, people become impersonal. So we should acquire those characteristics in the formation of personality. The following are some of the characteristics in the light of the Qur'anic Hadith:

How to maintain your personality। Maintain your personality in three ways
Maintain your personality

Maintain your personality in three ways

Self-esteem:

Self-esteem and self-respect are the adornments of a believer. The believer cannot devote himself to any work. Can't support any work. Because self-esteem does not allow them to do all the work. However, it should be kept in mind that self-esteem and self-ego are not one thing. God loves people who have self-respect. But he hates those who have self-ego. Again, those who lose their identity in the name of so-called smartness, Allah also hates them. Mughira (ra) said Saad ibn Ubadah (ra) said,

if I see a stranger with my wife, I will hit him with the sharp side of the sword. This statement of his reached the Prophet (peace be upon him). Then he said, are you surprised at Saad's self-esteem? I am more self-respecting than him. And God is more self-respecting than me. (Bukhari, Hadith: 6846)

The message of this hadith should be conveyed to every human being at the present time. Because the present society has forgotten this instruction of the Prophet (peace be upon him). People have started to be proud of what was a shameful thing for a believer. Forgetting the path of guidance, people are following in the footsteps of Iblis Shaitan.

Self-knowledge:

Almighty Allah has especially encouraged His beloved servants to acquire knowledge. The beacon of light for the believer was the first message of the Holy Qur'an, ‘Iqra’. Read! Not only that, in the Holy Qur'an, he praised the wise and said,

"Allah bears witness that there is no true god but He." And the angels and the wise ones, God is based on justice. There is no true god but He, the Almighty, the Wise. (Surah: Ale Imran, verse: 18)

In another verse,

Allah the Almighty says, "Only those of the servants of Allah who are wise fear Him. (Surah Fatir, verse 28)

The more one knows about God's power, knowledge, wisdom and wisdom, wrath, might, sovereign authority and other qualities, the more one will be afraid to disobey Him. On the other hand, the more ignorant a person is about the nature and attributes of God, the more fearless he will be about Him. This may be the reason why the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said,

"Allah gives the knowledge of the religion to whomever He wills." (Bukhari, Hadith: 71)

Therefore, acquiring knowledge is essential in forming an ideal personality. The knowledge that helps man to attain the love of Allah and to adopt taqwa, the knowledge that helps man to move forward from the deep darkness of kufr shirk to the light of faith.

Anger control:

There is a proverb in our society, ‘If you get angry, you lose.’ People have to be humiliated in many places because of anger, they have to lose a lot. If you fail to control anger, you will lose a lot not only in this world but also in the hereafter. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “Whoever is restrained in spite of his power to control his anger, Allaah will call him from all creation on the Day of Resurrection and give him the freedom to choose from among the hurrahs.” (Abu Dawood, hadeeth: 4777)

It is understood from this hadith that those who cannot control their anger in the world will be deprived of this great blessing. It is not heroism to burn others in the fire of anger. It does not increase people's respect. Rather, anger and vengeance lighten people up.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The real hero is the one who can restrain himself in times of anger. (Abu Dawood, Hadith: 4779)

The beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) also taught us what to do to control anger. "If any of you get angry while standing, let him sit down," he said. It is better if his anger is removed, otherwise, he should lie down. (Abu Dawood, Hadith: 4782)

May Allah Almighty grant us all the tawfiq to achieve the above qualities.
